The general objective of the Debegesa Sports Department is to support economic and social development in the Lower Deba region through sport and its values. This objective is achieved by promoting the Lower Deba “brand” as a sporting region, by encouraging the creation of new economic activities related to sport and by supporting existing ones, and by supporting sports agents so that they strengthen their structures and can generate more funds and more professional management models.

The Debegesa Sports Department offers specialist sports advice both for new promoters and existing companies, clubs and other agents in the sector. It draws up feasibility plans for new businesses, researches and applies for subsidies; as well as organising specific training courses for sports agents.
