Sustainable Development

The main objective of this department is to promote sustainable development in the Lower Deba region using the Agenda 21 methodology.

In the Sustainable Development Department we develop activities aimed at citizens by encouraging their participation in municipal management and promoting the sustainable development of activities in the local districts of the Lower Deba.

The Agenda 21 Action Plan defines the strategies and the areas of work to be carried out in the area in subsequent years. We work in the following areas:

• Economic activities.
• Mobility.
• Water.
• Water resources.
• Open spaces.
• Air and noise.
• Environmental education and awareness.

Likewise, we carry out and manage environmental projects aiming to recover and maintain our natural heritage.

In the business sector, we provide information concerning all of the environmental topics which affect your business. Furthermore, we organise training courses and offer advice on environmental issues to local companies.
